“Geese appear high over us,
pass, and the sky closes. Abandon,
as in love or sleep, holds
them to their way, clear
in the ancient faith: what we need
is here. And we pray, not
for new earth or heaven, but to be
quiet in heart, and in eye,
clear. What we need is here.”
-Wendell Berry
Feeling gratitude this morning for this beautiful land we live on. I slept with abandon last night and woke up deeply rested. When I came down to make breakfast, this was the sight out my kitchen window. It struck me as angelic. Today is a gift.
The moms wanted to be sure I knew they were there too so they plastered our kitchen with rainbows through the prisms hanging in the window.
Take a moment today to stand outside, breathe deeply and appreciate the beauty of this world.
