It has been an awful kind of hot here in Ohio. This afternoon it was in the mid 90’s, 75% humidity and the “feels like” temperature was 117. Awful.

I went outside to try to work in the garden, which doubled in size this week while we were gone, but I felt lightheaded from the heat.

So I set out this evening as the sun went down to close up the birds. The temperature had finally dropped to 80 (still “feels like” 87 at 9:30 pm!). I walked slowly out to the coop, savoring the slight break in the temperature. When I closed the truck box and turned back to the house, I was greeted with this most beautiful sight.
